My Experience At Portsmouth

In comparison to living in a small town, Portsmouth is very different. Living in a place where everything is just a walk away, let alone being in a lively city and also being able to walk to a calming beach feels like a dream.

Even though living in a pandemic has changed they way we socialise and live, I managed to adjust to university pretty easily, however managing my workload is still a working improvement. My course has taught me many different methods on how to elevate my artwork, such as using mixed media and having guests in our lectures to give us more inspiration.

Online learning now feels like the new normal, one of the benefits include waking up five minutes before your lecture and being able to learn from the comfort of your bed. There are some disadvantages however, such as finding it hard to focus with the many distractions around you and not being able to have in person lectures, Hopefully this may all change soon.

University has already changed me as a person and helped me become less dependable on not only my family but also teachers and friends. I have been able to self-review my work, focus on myself and slowly become more mature. As the new year is about to start, I hope I can continue to improve the way I live here in Portsmouth.
